The “musicality of movement” concept mainly deals with the organisation of movement in time, and with the coming into play of dynamics, breathing, contractions and releases operating in the body. Lento, accelerando, pizzicato, vibrato, silence, stillness, percussion, impacts, suspension, ma non troppo… movement takes a dramatic dimension due to the various states or moods the body and soul may enter at any given moment (thoughts, emotions).

These sensations come as a revelation, to actor and audience alike. A movement actor’s body becomes the living image of musical theatre, constantly nuancing the colours of his acting, timing the stunning moments, the “coup de théâtre”.
